child will learn about marine life, both big and small, through a cooperative group setting.
Hooked-On Writing 1:00-5:00 p.m. 8-10 yrs. + $25 yearly supply fee
Students will be exposed to an ocean of ideas to encourage them to enjoy writing! Min-lessons will focus on ideas and
content, organization, voice, word choice, sentence fluency, and conventions. Students will learn how to work in collaborative
groups to share their writings and feedback. Various publication options will be explored.
Science Combo Class (Science, Art, P.E.) 1:00-5:00 p.m. 5-8 yrs.
This class will combine Science, P.E., and Art to explore high interest areas of Science. The process of
the Scientific Method will be modeled through research, data analysis, and experiments.
Engineering & Architecture 1:00-5:00 p.m. 9-13 yrs. + $50 yearly supply cost
This class will teach and show your children about engineering principles and concepts
through interaction with lego building blocks and customized hand on lessons. The curriculum for this class will cover standard
building types and forces upon those building types, natural types of structures, simple machines, and basic civil engineering
principals in the world around us. Students engage in multiple design projects learning about engineering and the engineering
design process as they deepen their understanding of the underlying science principles in these topic areas.
Dive into Reading 1:00-5:00 p.m. 5-7 yrs. + $25 supply fee
Each class will include a literary focus, teacher read-aloud, mini-lesson, student reading time and various responses
to literature. Student choice and interaction will be encouraged. Mini-lessons will include topics such as: choosing
books, reading is thinking, and strategies to solve unknown words.
Zoology II 1:00-5:00 p.m. 7-11 yrs. +$50 yearly supply cost

Junior Business Academy 1:00-5:00 p.m. 8-13 yrs. + fundraising to offset other costs.
This class will help teach your children how to start a business, recognize opportunities in the marketplace, develop
an entrepreneurial mind, and use all the math and English skills they never thought they use!
Our Great 50 States (History, Art, P.E.) 1:00-5:00 p.m. 7-9 yrs.
This
class will focus on each of the 50 states. Your child will learn about state flags, birds, capitols, city interests, and individuals
through a cooperative group setting.
